What is 'Sahu'?

'Sahu' is an Egyptian term that refers to the realised, or awakened self. It describes the "God man" - someone who has reached a stage in their development whereby they are still of the earth, but intimately connected and united with their divine source within.

In Egyptian mythology, Osiris was known as Sahu, as he, along with his wife Isis, maintained that spiritual connectedness while still walking the earth, tending to the practicalities of life. Through his physical death, Osiris-Sahu is said to have become the constellation Orion, with Isis often linked to Sirius, a prominent star within this constellation.

The intention of naming the space "Sahu" was firstly because of the energy of the name itself and the light it brings. More auspiciously, perhaps, is how it represents the fundamental journey that we are all taking towards our own Sahu; the realisation of self, the awakening of our divinity.

It is the overriding principle and intention of Sahu Healing Space to assist clients on this journey in whatever form it takes.
